As publisher and editor-in-chief of Artvoice and Frank Report, I have been credited in media outlets around the world for breaking the DOS story and pursuing investigative stories on the vicious sex trafficking sex cult called NXIVM.

Its leader Keith Raniere was arrested last week on sex trafficking and forced labor charges. More charges are expected.

I appeared on Inside Edition on March 29 and March 30, to explain the role TV actresses Allison Mack and Kristin Kreuk played in the cult that came to brand women on their pubic region and blackmail them into secrecy.

Without wishing to appear vain – by showing these clips on my own website, the reporting on Inside Edition was credible and I stand by my comments – and therefore, for those who missed it – I think it is worthy of being seen and analyzed.

Ok FormerNexian, As you are well informed, you should be able to name just a few of these tons of people she introduced into the cult. Which of her actions made you come to the conclusion that the movie industry is avoiding her? Which action lets you believe she was brainwashed. How do you know she knew about illegal activities? I called her recent statement a weak denial, because it comes at a very special time and contains nothing of substance that proves or disproves her statement. I do not know if she was honest or not, but I see no reason to not believe her. Maybe she did not talk about the stuff because she wanted distance from them.

You have to separate the image of a person from the actual person. The image Kreuk portrays is that of an innocent, shy, wholesome person. She is not. She is an actor. That is what actors do… they act. Actors don't have perfect lives. They have serious problems (probably more serious than ours). And they make serious mistakes. Judge a person by their actions, not their words. Kreuk was heavily involved in NXIVM. Kreuk was entranced by Nancy Salzman and Keith. Through Kreuk, NXIVM gained legitimacy and more recruits. And Kreuk brought in more young women to Keith's bed that Allison Mack or Nicki Clyne ever did.

Sarah Edmonson who was branded and came forward to the media has stated and i quote “For the record, my dear friend @MsKristinKreuk was never in the inner circle of #NXIVM. She never recruited sex slaves and has been out since 2013 before shit got weird. She is a lovely person who should not be dragged into this mess. Thank you. #Cult #DOS #freedom #TRUTH” Kristen herself has said she left in 2012, at the first mention of sexual allegations against Keith. Kristen did the right thing, as did her boyfriend, Mark, who is an actor and was a teacher there. Yes, Allison may have come in through Kristen BEFORE 2012 but Allison chose to stay in. There is a big difference. NXIVM had two sides Side one: What they showed the public ( self-help programs) Side two: What they DID NOT show the public and DID NOT show anyone who wasn’t in the inner circle. Join any local church and you will find out more about that place and its wrongdoing when you are invited to leader meetings. Until then, you are just a church goer. It’s the same damn thing. Kristin (it's spelled with 2 i's, Moron) knew exactly what Keith was doing. Everyone knew Keith was taking advantage of and would sleep with the new female recruits. We were all caught up, because the Cult made us feel like part of a family. An 'us versus them' … would you report your best friend to the police? Of course not. That is how we were taught. That is how the cult operated. Before I first started with NXIVM, people in the film community warned me about Kreuk. They said that Kreuk was the brainwashed one, and Allison Mack was just dabbling with NXIVM. When I joined, I was made to feel special and accepted. I keep seeing that Kristin Kreuk persuaded “many” to join the cult, yet I see no one actually list these “many” names. Where is this mysterious list of “many” names? I also see people repetitively conflating the fact that Kristin brought people into NXIVM for personal improvement with the notion that she willingly and knowingly brought women into a group to eventually sleep with its fraud of a leader. Where is the evidence for this? She recruited people because NXIVM is an MLM business that is what this type of business *does*. It is entirely *dependent* upon bringing in people to continuously pay for its product(s) in order to make money. In this particular case, the product was a constant stream of modules that people take because they want to improve themselves or “reach their potential”. This was nothing new. HPM movements like Landmark Education existed well before “The Vanguard” decided to rip off the idea and create his own company based on it using the MLM business model. Apparently, it's the only type of business model than Vanguard knows how to exploit. Allison was brought in by Kristin but she was persuaded to remain by the constant love bombing of the Bronfman and the Salzmans. Kristin wasn't so “brainwashed” as to ever move to Albany. I remember reading something about her actually considering doing so with Allison, but something (or someone) kept her from it and I for one am glad it or they did.

Does anyone know if cult members were involved with supporting Clinton? The reason I ask is because during the election there was a really bizarre incident where some unknown group tried to frame Julian Assange as a pedo. The work that went into this plot was extensive: they set up a fake online dating service called Todd and Clare, made dozens of videos with spokesmodels, created a history for the dating site by posting about it in forums, etc. All this was done to give Todd and Clare a veneer of respectability. They first tried to blackmail Assange by offering him a considerable sum of money to appear in an ad, saying the money had been provided by the Russians. He didn't take the bait. Keep in mind, this was being done at the same time it became known Hillary's emails had been hacked. So on the day that it was expected Wikileaks was gonna release damaging emails about Hillary, Todd and Clare put into action this bizarre social media campaign accusing Assange of being a pedo. It quickly fell apart and most media outlets didn't fall for it. But if you look into it, a ton of time and not an insignificant amount of money was spent to try and make Todd and Clare appear legit- we're talking dozens of videos, dozens of women hired to appear in videos, etc. The Todd and Clare website now has a ton of racist, neo-nazi type stuff on it. Maybe they were hacked and someone else is now in control of it. Just a really strange episode. I read Vanguard (LOL! How could anyone call themselves that?) had an interest in Nazis and of course Clare is the name of a key member. Probably no relation but it was such a crazy attempt to frame Assange, and hearing about some of the other things the cult has attempted to do, I would not be completely shocked if it turned out some members were involved (though I strongly doubt it).

Another interesting point- these alt-right Trumpers were making a big fuss about the sealed indictments, and it seems likely now that many of those indictments were in fact connected to NXIVM. Love IS NOT in the air. I just visited the webpage of NXIVM, and guess what? There is NOT one single picture or reference to either Emiliano Salinas or Alex Betancourt. NXIVM must have changed all of their webpage content in the last couple of days because up until then, they presented both Emiliano and Betancourt as prominent members of the company. I am surprised aparently there has been no previous comments about this move which I find very much revealing of whatever is going on within their organization.

Frank, firstly thank you for your work. As someone said below, Kristin may not be the bravest or smartest, she did recruit for the cult (including Allison), and knows more than she is letting on. Her statement was poor but you should make absolutely clear she had nothing to do with DOS and doesn't agree with the slavery of women. It goes too far and is untrue and unfair. She has been out for years. She has something to answer for but you don't make the NXIVM/DOS distinction clear enough. In the 'gray' areas of who knew what, some attention should also be paid to all the people who gave fawning videos for KR Conversations e.g. Mark Hildreth, Grace Park, Marc Elliot, Richard Mays (a judge!). Also it seems that you have bunch of unbalanced people from all sides commenting including those with unhealthy celebrity obsessions and whacko pizzgate type conspiracy theorists. So, you should start being a bit more factual and judicial with your words especially with a court case coming up. Finally, we should all remember Raniere is the ultimate sociopathic criminal here.

It is unsubstantiated and unfair….however, when it comes to NXIVM things are different. We know Kristin recruited at least some people to get her coach sash, but her real “recruitment” for NXIVM (not DOS) was just being the popular, pretty, Poster Girl. That much is obvious. Just look at all the comments generated whenever a FR post mentions her name. Well over 100 on her “denial” and already approaching 50 on this post…which actually is about her AND Ally Wack, but virtually all are comments on Kristin. Just as she gets comments here, she would get young women (and men) interested in NXIVM just by being a member. She didn't have to actively recruit (tho maybe she did) but she would draw people into the ESP spider web with her popularity, reputation, and tacit endorsement. Maybe she knew she was being used as the “face” of NXIVM, maybe thinking ESP was a valid and helpful tool, or maybe she was clueless…regardless, she “recruited” for years…YEARS BEFORE DOS.

Her brain got a good scrubbing. That’s for sure. No denying that. Her responsibility now is to admit it (she surely knows it happened) at a public level. For the rest of us! The tentacles run deep from the silly The Sword to the very serious The Children’s Cultural Center… Website still open for business! I will admit I feel sad for Allison. Prior to her meeting Keith, you could see a normal women who basked in creativity and was searching for something of depth in her life. I mean no disrespect to any of the opinions expressed here – I see many writers struggling to find sympathy and explanations for these attractive and talented women. Unfortunately, every time I see Allison Mack's initials cleverly intertwined into the horrific KR cattle brand, I lose all sympathy. SHAME ON HER! How could she not know that a searing hot brand pressed onto flesh will cause agonizing pain and scarring?? But frankly I am not concerned with either of them right now. I am focused on keeping the monster who perpetuated all this behind bars – before trial and after. I look at it like ” not guilty by reason of insanity” – yes, she was brainwashed, but she also committed unconscionable actions against other humans. There is still a price to be paid – restitution to be made – because harm was done whether she meant it as harm or not. Anyone who fell into this deceitful trap needs help to recover their human and moral equilibrium – including Allison. The degree of criminality assigned to any of these NXian/ESP/DOS/whatever other demented “company” employees is going to be hard to determine because most of them are totally mind-fucked. When an individual starts spewing some remorse and taking some responsibility over how they have affected others, that's when I will cut them some slack. Until then, they are all the equivalent of rabid dogs – figuratively shoot on sight to protect the innocent. What the justice system will make of all of them remains to be seen.

Oh, I have read this blog inside and out. Comments included. I speak for no doubt hundreds of outsiders who have been lurking for weeks. Frank is no saint! Not at all! Does Frank Parlato have ulterior motives? Absolutely. He is also fighting for his own life. Literally. Fighting to stay out of prison due to false complaints filed against him by Clare Bronfman et al. A lot of people want to call it petty revenge, but I say it is far more than that. The last time I looked at the docket (if I recall correctly) the US Atty was attempting to do something with a superseding indictment, which either means they know original one is no good or they are looking to add new charges to it. The same thing most are rooting for against Raniere is exactly the problem that Parlato faces. Most prosecutors don't like to quit and will do anything to get someone who doesn't just plead out, whether they are guilty or not. It was wicked smart to put the $ he received from the Bronfmans into escrow, but I say he had a much better idea what he was dealing with by that point. All that being said, do I think he is some squeaky clean fighter against injustice? Absolutely not. It is interesting people are so polarised these days, there is an automatic bent towards people being purely good or purely evil. Either is rarely true. Raniere being the exception to the rule, of course.

I have an issue with Ms. Edmonson’s commentary that ‘shit got weird’ in 2013. Sadly the comments lately seem to really be devolving, I wonder if the Kreuk fans, except for maybe the one person always posting, would even be here if Frank hadn't either carelessly or deliberately made the false claim to the NYPost that she was in NXIVM's inner circle and recruited for the sex/slave cult. Out of curiosity, I searched the site to see how many times Frank created a post using Kreuk's name versus Grace Park's, who I think is a bigger name than Kreuk having starred on a hit show that is still running on one of the major networks. So here's what I found. Frank so far has created 4 posts using Grace's name, the last one back on September 5 (can that be right? )while he has created 38 posts using Kreuk's name. Sarah Edmonson who was branded and came forward to the media has stated and i quote “For the record, my dear friend @MsKristinKreuk was never in the inner circle of #NXIVM. NXIVM had two sides Side one: What they showed the public ( self-help programs) Side two: What they DID NOT show the public and DID NOT show anyone who wasn't in the inner circle.
