Nice Guy, one of our most esteemed commenters, has a decidedly different take on leniency for Allison Mack and Lauren Salzman. His post has a few crude moments in it, but might be worth exploring, if one is not too squeamish. His theory, which might or might not stand up in a court of law, is that Lauren and Allison aided and abetted the gruesome Raniere in coercing women to sleep with him. He sees this as rape and perhaps it is. Rape is a state crime not a federal crime. Raniere was charged with federal sex trafficking, as was Allison, the latter cutting a plea deal which dropped the sex trafficking charges and the former being convicted of it.

Imagine you are one of Keith Raniere’s harem members being blackmailed by a First Line Slave.

DOS First-Line Slaves. The Prosecution in the Keith Raniere case said all of the First Line slaves of Keith Raniere were, in their opinion, all criminals. But they chose to only charge Lauren Salzman and Allison Mack.

Simply imagine being coerced and blackmailed by Allison Mack and Lauren Salzman into giving a 60-year-old man [with a fat hairy chode] two dozen blow jobs and providing 1/2 a dozen vaginal/anal intercourse sessions.

Now imagine the individuals [i.e., Mack and Salzman] who blackmailed you [forced you] into performing sex acts with Vanguard walk free.

How does that feel?

Lauren Salzman recruited slaves into DOS without telling them that Keith Raniere was the head of the “female-only” sorority.

Rape Math Made Easy for Lay People

Anyone who is of the belief Allison Mack and Lauren Salzman should be shown leniency needs to understand how the law looks at, categorizes, and counts rape acts.

First Example;

If during a sexual assault, a perpetrator and victim engage in oral sex, penile penetration, and digital penetration, the government would charge the perpetrator with 3 counts of rape.

Taking my example and applying it to Keith Raniere means Raniere committed hundreds if not thousands of rapes.

Here is a simple postulate:

An average week for Raniere easily consisted of sexual relations with at least 4 blackmailed coerced women.

The first woman performs oral sex on Raniere twice during the week.

Lauren Salzman and Allison Mack acted as accomplices of Keith Raniere. Mack and Salzman, via the blackmail they both gathered, aided and abetted Keith Raniere in his criminal acts of forcible rape.

Each woman is directly responsible for dozens if not hundreds of counts of rape.

How anyone can believe Mack and Salzman deserve clemency is incomprehensible and obscene to me. They deserve empathy. Not clemency.

How would any man or woman reading this article feel if they were blackmailed into performing fellatio or sexual vaginal/anal intercourse with Keith Raniere?

Nice Guy is 100% Correct! Just ask the women who had blackmail material collected against them by Allison Mack and Lauren Salzman how they feel about these two perpetrators. These blackmail victims have asked for the blackmail material to be returned to them for destruction. So far, according to attorney Neil Glazer, that material has not been returned! Until that material is returned to the victims for ultimate disposition, NXIVM is an on-going crime.

NiceGuy is conflating a lot of shit that shouldn't be conflated. His main point is probably NOT valid. Why not? Cuz he's saying that NONE of the women who engaged in coitus or fellatio (with Keith Raniere) would have chosen to do so if no blackmail material were being held by NXIVM. I think even Frank Parlato can attest to the fact that this just isn't true. In fact, there are many women who waited a while before choosing to fornicate with Keith (including that actress girl). Please remember, Keith kept taking walks with them and letting them know that he wanted them to CHOOSE to be with him. Subtracting the 8 first-line teachers there are 142, now taking into account that these 142 women were divided between Mexico, USA, and Canada and that they were 8 slave teachers and not 2 as you know how many women were forced to have sex with Raniere and how many did it because of the effort of Allison and Lauren

Unless Lauren and Allison were and still are robots, it is not as if they were merely, accidentally, rabidly vapid, solely in the name of Keith Raniere. Come on, there is mutual responsibility. Cooperativeness, enthusiasm, supportiveness, deep, longlasting entrenchment are not exactly “victimization.” If you think that, perhaps look deeper, not as a counterproductive blame game, but to see what is realistic and what is not. This chosen lifestyle was 100% their very own screwed-up, delusionary ego food. Raniere was the pitcher, but everyone he pitched to was playing right along, same ballgame, different positions. With those Raniere-hooked individuals who were still teenagers or who were naive, when he and/or his harpies began to interfere with them, it is an entirely different set of circumstances to understand. However, and observably, neither Lauren Salzman or Allison Mack were that naive as they plunged their life energies, face first, down Raniere's filthy groupie toilet. They willingly substituted definitive mental and emotional guilt trips for spiritual contemplativeness or authentic “inner growth.” This is far from unique, but the lack of originality does not make their years of criminal participation more excusable. Yes. Lauren and Allison had terribly bad taste when choosing to hook up with Raniere. Neither were arrested simply for demonstrating tastelessness, though. If tastelessness were a basis for condemnation, all Walmarts and many Walmart shoppers would require their own synthetic prison universe, or so one hears, sees and maybe smells. Most people are already capable of emphatically expressing the concept of “NO” before we have reached our first birthdays. How about that! Both Lauren and Allison strutted around for years, proud as all hell to be part of this madness. Not to worry. Rikers is a New York City facility, not a federal one. So, there is zero chance that Raniere will serve his term there. Many consider the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) – which is where Raniere has been for the past 2+ years – to be just as bad as Rikers. Never getting outside, non-functioning heating and air conditioning systems, vermin-laced food, no educational programs, a third-rate health center – those are just some of the fun things that Raniere will continue to experience as long as he's at MDC. And BTW, New York City is in the process of closing down Rikers.
