To those who think Marc Agnifilo did NOT even present a defense for his client.
No one would step up to defend Keith Raniere at trial and testify for him. His followers ran like the rats they are.
Raniere was unwilling to take the stand in his own defense.
Raniere was unwilling to delay his trial to give his legal team more time. Why wouldn’t he when the contraband pictures were brought forward?
With all these factors, Agnifilo was left with only a defense of cross-examination to discredit the DOJ evidence.

Agnifilo had an impossible task, because Raniere is a stupid criminal. He left mountains of evidence for the DOJ to use against him.
Raniere left photos, emails, text messages, tape recordings, and witnesses that proved Raniere was guilty of all the crimes he was arrested for.
There were other crimes moved to the NDNY that Raniere could have been charged with, but why after a 120-year sentence.
Judge Garaufis also gave all the defendants a chance to have time with other legal counsel long before trial to decide if they were happy with their current legal services.
Raniere reported to Judge Garaufis that he was confident in his legal counsel, Marc Agnifilo.
Keith Raniere appeared in the 1989 Australian edition of the Guinness Book of Records under the category High IQ. Curiously, the publishers retired the category that same year, and it did not appear in the US edition.
Crybaby Jane
As usual, Raniere wants to be a crybaby with the courts because he lost his unwinnable case.
Raniere now wants to say it was because his legal team was ineffective. He will again lose this motion, as he has lost so many legal issues before.
The fat lady is warming up her vocal cords to sing her final goodbye song on the Vanguard.
Soon, Raniere will be done on all his options, and his long white sash will see its last motion in this case.
A rendition of God Bless Raniere is long overdue.

With his own private quarters. His lease expires on June 26, 2120.
